---Reports---
-International Events-
1. French government collapses after no-confidence vote passes against Prime Minister Michel Barnier: The French National Assembly passed a vote of no-confidence on Wednesday, effectively collapsing the current government. Barnier is now expected to resign just a mere three months into holding his position. The conservative leader will be the shortest-serving prime minister in French history. The no-confidence vote, which was prompted by budget disputes, was a result of far-right and far-left French lawmakers banding together against the current government. (Fox)

2. Amnesty International says Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Israel rejects the allegations: Amnesty International accused Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip during its war with Hamas, saying it has sought to deliberately destroy Palestinians by mounting deadly attacks, demolishing vital infrastructure and preventing the delivery of food, medicine and other aid. “The deplorable and fanatical organization Amnesty International has once again produced a fabricated report that is entirely false and based on lies,” Israel’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Amnesty International Israel, a local branch of the organization that was not involved in the report, also disputed the allegation of genocide, in a rare public airing of internal dissent at the rights group. 3. Taiwan president spoke with US House Speaker Johnson, China warns of 'red lines': Taiwan President Lai Ching-te spoke by telephone with U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson during Lai's visit to the Pacific, the presidential office said on Thursday, as Beijing called the Taiwan issue a "red line" not to be crossed in Sino-U.S. ties. Sources familiar with the situation have told Reuters that China could launch a new round of war games in response to Lai's trip to the Pacific, which included stopovers in Hawaii and the U.S. territory of Guam. (Reuters)

-US Events-
1. UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s assassin may have left message on bullets used in murder: The at-large suspect who gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Midtown hotel may have left a message on the bullets he used to kill the executive Wednesday morning, according to police sources. The NYPD is investigating the possible message — which appears to include the words “deny,” “depose” and “defend” — engraved on live rounds and shell casings left behind by the masked assassin after he shot Thompson, 50, several times at about 6:46 a.m. before fleeing. Cops had recovered three live 9-millimeter rounds and three discharged casings in front of the Hilton hotel on Sixth Avenue. (NYPost)

-Regulatory and Legal-
1. Crypto Approves Of Paul Atkins, Trump's Pick To Replace SEC Chair Gary Gensler: U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has officially nominated former Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Paul Atkins to replace outgoing Chair Gary Gensler, marking a new era in the digital assets space. During his tenure as a Commissioner from 2002 through 2008, he was known for going against heavy-handed enforcement strategies in regulation. Atkins has spoken in some crypto-centric conferences, including CoinMarketCap's The Capital in 2019, and a Cardano (ADA) Summit. (IBTimess) (AC-This is a possible vector in support of a new altcoin season. Crypto may indeed support Atkins, complete with accolades from Ripple and Coinbase CEOs. If the top man at SEC is easy on altcoins, more will certainly pop up quickly.)

-Central Bank Digital Currencies/World Currencies-
1. Vladimir Putin Pushes Bitcoin As A Viable Alternative To Dollar Reserves: Speaking at an investment conference in Moscow, Putin argued that the current geopolitical climate, particularly following the West’s freezing of approximately $300 billion in Russian reserves due to the Ukraine conflict, raises legitimate questions about the wisdom of holding state reserves in foreign currencies. “No one can prohibit the use of Bitcoin or other digital assets,” Putin asserted. (Bitcoinist) (AC-This is big news if acted upon!)

2. Bitcoin is a competitor to gold, not the US dollar, reiterates Fed’s Powell: “People use Bitcoin as a speculative asset. It’s just like gold, only it’s virtual, it’s digital,” Powell said at The New York Times-hosted DealBook Summit in New York on Dec. 4. “People are not using it as a form of payment or as a store of value. It’s highly volatile. It’s not a competitor for the dollar. It’s really a competitor for gold.”, he said. (CoinTelegraph) (AC-Either he doesn't understand how Bitcoin is being used, or is gaslighting in an attempt to make what he says to be true. If people aren't using Bitcoin as a store of value, why are plebs, companies and institutions establishing their own Bitcoin 'Treasuries'?)

3. No Bitcoin! Central Bank of Chile Rejects Adding BTC as a Reserve Asset: The Central Bank of Chile recently stated that it could not add bitcoin to its reserves, as this crypto asset fails to comply with the requirements to be included as a bank investment. (BitcoinCom)

-Institutional Concerns-
1. BlackRock’s IBIT Hits $50 Billion in Record Time as Bitcoin Surges Past $100,000: BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has surpassed $50 billion in assets under management, achieving the milestone in just 228 days—more than five times faster than any other ETF in history. (Decrypt)

-Economic Indicators-
1. Bitcoin Soars Above $100,000 For The First Time: After toying with its fanatical fan base for much of the past 2 weeks, teasing a breach of the "nice round number" resistance several times only to fade right below it, moments ago bitcoin finally erupted higher with an aggressive buyer taking advantage of the illiquid Asian session and sending the world's first digital token above $100,000 for the first time ever... and greenlighting the road to $200,000 and beyond. (ZeroHedge)

-Security Incidents and Concerns-
1. US senators vow action after briefing on Chinese Salt Typhoon telecom hacking: U.S. government agencies held a classified briefing for all senators on Wednesday on China's alleged efforts known as Salt Typhoon to burrow deep into American telecommunications companies and steal data about U.S. calls. A U.S. official told reporters a large number of Americans' metadata has been stolen in the sweeping cyber espionage campaign, adding dozens of companies across the world had been hit by the hackers, including "at least" eight telecommunications and telecom infrastructure firms in the United States. (Reuters) (AC-In response, several government agencies encouraged usage of encrypted apps like signal or WhatsApp in the meantime.)

-Technology and Science-
1. OpenAI Partners with Anduril to Enhance US Military Drone Defense: OpenAI and defense tech company Anduril announced yesterday a collaboration to enhance military drone defense capabilities, marking OpenAI's first major venture into the defense sector after revising its military application policy earlier this year. he partnership aims to protect US military personnel from drone threats by integrating AI models into defense systems, following recent incidents including unauthorized drone flights over Langley Air Force Base and nuclear facilities. (GroundNews) (AC-AI-enhanced drones are the next technology step in kinetic warfare. Jamming will no longer work if a link is no longer necessary.)

-Bitcoin Community-
1. Ethiopia’s Bitcoin mining surge now accounts for 2.5% of global hash rate: On Dec. 4, local Bitcoin miner Kal Kassa stated: “Bitcoin miners in Ethiopia now command 2.5% of the global hash-rate. If trends continue, according to Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP), this will more than double within one year.” Ethiopia’s 2.5% contribution to the global Bitcoin hash rate would place it among the top five Bitcoin mining nations, joining established leaders like the United States, China, and the Czech Republic. (CryptoSlate)

2. Marathon Digital Prepares for $850 Million of Bitcoin Purchase: Bitcoin miner Marathon Digital (NASDAQ: MARA) has recently completed its $850 million convertible note offering at 0% interest, the proceeds of which shall go for additional Bitcoin purchases. The announcement comes just when BTC’s price smashed past the $100K milestone earlier today hitting a new all-time high. Speculations have started pouring in for BTC price to hit $125,000 by the year-end as part of the Christmas rally. (CoinGape)

-Bitcoin Sentiment-
1. Fear(0)/Greed(100) Index: 84/100 (Up 6 pts)

Analyst Comments (AC): To all Bitcoin HODLers, congratulations on holding through a new round number of USD! As this Bitcoin bull market continues, however, just like all other bull markets, the shitcoin market and scams will exponentially increase. It is already evident as most crypto sites are emphasizing XRP, DogeCoin, Shiba, etc., instead of the foundation of the only truly decentralized digital asset. As Bitcoiners, it's our responsibility to continue to share the distinction with those we care about and keep others from shitcoining as much as possible. Human nature wants a quick win, which is why shitcoins continue. Also, as 'crypto'-friendly administrators take office under Trump, the will to clamp down on scammers may be lessened and politicians are confused over the 'industry'.
