This was as delightful to wade in as it appears, & glacially cold (yet my feet thanked me for hours).

After an early rain, we reached the trail's end & doubled back to this spot, a popular destination for casual hikers. We encountered them AFTER the sun emerged & we'd left.

Yet again, this was straight out of Kovenlore Chronicles, but Book 1 this time. More firsthand inspiration.
