As a sanity check, I also ploted the stilometric features for the category "News". The texts in this category are not authored by the "newspaper", but are sourced from an external news agency.
And lo and behold, there are no such sharp changes at the end of 2023 like in the other categories. The lexical diversity fluctuates most likely due to what topics are currently making the news. Everything other feature is very steady, which makes sense for a proper news agency.
