I reach over without looking for my dog all the time when we’re on the couch together. I’m not feeling well, and she was sleeping on the couch in her dog bed a little further away from me, so when I reached for her she wasn’t there. a few seconds later I feel her curl up against me - she got up from her comfy bed and came to where I could reach out and pet her.
