I think one of the most ghoulish things the system is doing by far now is trying to normalize the idea of pregnant women serving in combat roles, first in Wolfenstein The New Colossus, then in Avatar, and with that bit about "pregnant flight suits", the list goes on and I'm sure there are other instances I'm forgetting. The ultimate goal of this is of course to remove the exemption that Whites like my grandfather used to get out of Vietnam, by explaining that he had a wife and 3 young children with another on the way. If that happened in modernity (or rather a couple of years in the future) the recruiter would likely have just drafted my grandmother as well.
