A fascinating data crunch finding that, as a plot device ...

Stephen Follows looked at the plots of 17,430 movies and found that the percentage that were "romance" in genre declined from 34.8% in 2000 to 8.6% today
Same for romance as a subplot. (Except for action flicks, where romance is *more* likely to be a subplot over time)
