Sitting here realising that half of my yak-shaving adventures in wiring software are because I loathe wiring down pages of instructions to make the thing work, even if the audience is me - especially as I loathe following pages of instructions. So I end up spending way longer on the deployment and configuration before I start implementing features. Ouch.

I may not change my ways entirely, but I see an opportunity to optimise, now that I see the problem.
