I found a downside to degoogling your phone with paranoid location privacy settings.

I'm getting frequent:

"Emergency alert: Extreme" popups with scary tone about a evacuation orders and warnings in my area.

Though according to watchduty and the alertla page I'm a little bit outside of the evacuation warning zones.

My spouses googled phone has been much quieter.
