I was watching the movie "The Social Network" (2010) yesterday, and in my opinion Facebook became huge because it started in universities, and universities have young students and those students are more open to experiences than the average person.
But this is not my point, my point is that they had a huge monetary success because it was a centralized platform, if it had started as an open social media it would grow regardless, but not financially.
And this makes me think that the incentives are made such that bad (in an evil sense) products make more money, and good products make less money.
If that is the case, I wonder if those incentives are an universal law, meaning, it would happen always regardless of which planet or dimension you live in. Or if those incentives are localized and only happen here in planet Earth.
If this general observation is true, then it means that going against all temptations and even not getting financially rewarded by creating a good product is an act of sacrifice.
