the lack of an industrial strategy for many years coupled with government being happy to be over reliant on the tax take from the city leads to many of our current ills. An over heated south-east, depressed rest of the country and no resilience to economic shocks like Brexit means we have an unbalanced and under performing economy. Hope Labour get a grip on this - but even if they do, it will take a long time to correct course
