If someone is living in house A & gets a job & has to relocate, & they rent it to friends at say, 10% over the mortgage, that’s very different than someone/a company owning a large number of properties just to rent them.
There’s a lot of “this may or may not be bad depending…” in this.
If we want to say “corps can’t buy single family homes” that’s one thing. But “you can’t rent out your home after you buy it” is different.
