Having said that Simplex was never anonymous and using it without Tor or a VPN is at your own risk, as that was never within it's scope unlike Session. Really it's no different to matrix, if you upload CSAM on that and are reported by the homeserver admin because your messages were not E2EE (not all rooms have E2EE).
