A video that appears to show one horseshoe crab helping another to turn over. I cheerfully want to believe this reading but I can't help but wonder if this is commonly observed behavior?
Has anyone thought to do an experiment to find out how often they do this?
Given that they come to shore to mate in big numbers there is some benefit to everyone being right side up and not dehydrating.
Is there any sex preference in who flips who? Could we be missing something?
