you can run a server local if you like. just ask your AI assistant what the best solution is for your system. owncast seems to be popular on linux and I think mac. windows, you'd have to see. I'm still looking more into it.
cloudflare is too expensive. you get charged per "watch minute" and not per streamed minute. so 1,000 streamed minutes with 10 viewers is only 10h actual stream time. if you have busy and long streams you'll burn through some serious money rather quickly.
