things are always going to slip through the cracks (see recent stories about the snap store on Ubuntu) but at least when scam apps do appear on the AppStore Apple can take action against them. They can do nothing about scam apps on 3rd party stores they don’t control. I do think they’ve overdone it here but it is still sensible to have some kind of warning when a user goes to install something unsupported, as they do on MacOS and as Google does on Android
