Brit/ "Foreign" food (or the Indian-ized version thereof) that was considered the *height* of sophistication in the late 90s - Caramel custard pudding (made eggless by using cornstarch for the vegetarians), layers of plain sponge sandwiched together with jam, "coleslaw" made with fresh cream instead of mayo, pineapple upside down cakes, and date and walnut cakes. 1/2
