Because Christ took our sins to the cross and rose three days later, we are admonished to put to death the deeds of the flesh and live a new, resurrected life for God. This is a daily struggle; we constantly battle against the desires of the flesh but fight we must. God’s wrath is being stored up against these sins, but O how wonderful that forgiveness is there for us. We need only ask.
