A funny thing about the #ShittyCameraChallenge--when I scan pictures from my #KodakBrownie, and see them on my PC screen, I'm often disappointed. But it's silly to expect a picture from a box camera to look any good enlarged that much. In the size that they show up here on Mastodon (even in a desktop browser) they're fine (and on my monitor that's about 2x the negative size). On my phone, they can look as sharp as anything from a modern digital camera. Funny that what you can see on your screen with a 2024 smartphone (and I bet that's how most of us see 90% of the pictures that we see) is about the same as what you'd get from a contact print (which was the most common way of getting your pictures back then) from a 1904 Brownie!
