I've noticed more women out on the weekends too. I'm not sure of the reasons but I would guess some factors are: 1. Not always men around but also 2. Yardwork is often more straightforward than many things women deal with. With power-assists on many tools, strength isn't necessary to get the job done. I've always found mowing to be soothing.
