"content": "Yes, good stuff! When I was working in this space for my University projects I ended up writing our own software system from scratch (python). Our use-case was finding needles in haystacks, so rather than building a single unified 3d model from 100's (1000's) of photos, I was overlaying them altogether in a \"perfectly\" (not quite) aligned pile so it was easy to go through and explore (google maps style) and examine any interesting thing from all the available angles without losing any resolution or details.
