The problem with certain antitrust investigations is that by the time they occur, they are already too late to stop the damage. This is especially true for platform vendors like Microsoft or Apple.

Microsoft is going to be investigated for bundling Teams with Office 365 which effectively killed Slack’s growth and caused the company to sell itself to Salesforce. Outside of a time machine, no antitrust remedy matters.

The same will be true of Apple’s abuses.
