Yes. AI can help and I use it regularly. With that said it' a not replacing developers anytime soon. There are situations where as you pointed out it just hallucinates answers and becomes ineffective. However I think of it as enhanced Intellisense, but I disable it for the most part when it starts to do nonsense. Co-Pilot is fun until it's not.
