However, I recall, from the time, that there was concern about the 'carrier' used to deliver these vaccinations. My recollection was that lead was involved and the NHS/Govt changed the formulation to remove it. Subsequently, I tried to confirm my recollection but was unable to find any evidence....
This would have been less 20 years ago when my eldest was due for their MMR.
