npub1k7qzkq4arqkvhx9xs5xrskdu6gqwff8xt87c79wqjc9tcc6upmkqsh3lrw (npub1k7q…3lrw) one thing that took me way too long to learn was that when I start a new job the best way to get a raise was to start out mediocre and average, then right before the 90 day review turn it up a little bit. If you start off kick ass they have no improvements to remark about at your review and you will not get a raise. You’ll just get more work.
I also learned to lie about my previous salaries if necessary so I could get more money at the start. At the height of mortgage processing volume 20 yrs ago I think some companies caught onto that & they would ask for our W-2s to see that we were doing the volume we claimed we were doing or something. They asked me, I said no, they always hired me anyway.
Never ever let them think you need them more than they need you. Ever.
