Sure, no doubt about it. They are understandably wondering "What's in it for me?" However, the truth still remains that providence did not endow them with their great gifts simply to be poon slayers and to lord it over lesser men in a mocking "Fuck all you beta chumps" kind of way. They are supposed to be leaders, and most of them have little sense of that.
