It really feels like a massive Matrix or PKD kind of alternate universe I'm living in. I'll see a glint of response in somebody's eye, and like that trope desperate person, I'll hopefully engage, but, no, they are part of the simulation. I remember one time in frustration, Bret Weinstein exclaimed, "I feel like the world is gaslighting me." I get that. Why won't you try on these sun glasses? (Movie: They Live.) Like true gaslighting, is it me?
