Dragonflies fascinate me - they are marvels of natural engineering and simply beautiful to look at. This Common Darter is nearing the end - its colour is fading rapidly - but if you enlarge the photograph you can see not only the incredibly delicate wing structures but also the multi-faceted eyes. I wonder what the world looks like through such incredible eyes?
