Got a reply from the Tyngsboro, MA police on a Tesla-related incident being investigated there. While he didn't fully spell it out, it appears the matter involves chalking a swastika on private property. Even though chalk on pavement can be easily removed, drawing a swastika is an attempt to intimidate, and it's at least plausible to treat it as a crime.
