I wasn't even taking a video today - I just took a few pictures. But I was in the sun, and it's 85F out. So my phone just hung, screen frozen (probably getting even hotter). I forced shutdown by holding the power button for ~10s, and now it doesn't turn back on.
Just garbage hardware.
