Back in the day I was against air -conditioning. Now I cannot imagine living without it. I entered my mom's house this afternoon and the first thought on my mind was - I'm so grateful for having air-conditioning.
It's not so much about cooling the place down as it about dehumidifying it.
Last summer we turned it on only few times but this year I feel it will be a different story.
Today we have high temperature, high humidity, and air is full of Saharan sand. We are leaving the house only if we really need to.
