The difference between credit cards and Lightning network is, on LN the customer pays the fees and this could discourage people from using LN. One way to solve it is using negative inbound fees on the last hop which would give instant discount/cash back to the customer. Even a -2000ppm fee would mean the merchant saves at least 15x on credit card fees.
