WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR WOMEN A tale of two shooters
In 1979, the first modern school shooter was arrested. A truly Garfieldpilled and lasagnapilled woman named Brenda Spencer. When apprehended by the cops (or while on the phone with someone, depending on who you listen to), she admitted to shooting the kids and teachers; only offering the blunt reasoning “I just don’t like Mondays, this livens up the day a bit.” She claims to not remember this, as she was high off pills and drunk at the time. She skipped school the whole week before and sat home drinking all day. A ticking time bomb from what I’ve ever been able to gather about her.
The band the Boomtown Rats would make a famous song inspired by the shooting, aptly titled “I Don’t Like Mondays.” The singer, Bob Geldof (also famous for organizing the band Band Aid and the 1985 Live Aid), would later recant his seeming endorsement of the crime which inspired his chart-topping song; adding that he regrets ever writing the song, as it only brought attention to Brenda’s name.
Today, a transgender man opened fire on a Presbyterian elementary school in Nashville, TN. The shooter joins the ranks of the very short list of female American mass shooters. The tragedy of the loss of life today cannot be overstated. Yet, no kick ass piano ballad will be written about it. The chick was pretty fucking ugly. And she wasn’t garfieldpilled or lasagnapilled as far as I can tell.
Sad, what happened to women. Rest in peace to the lives lost today.
