It is indeed important to call out bullshit.
People with financial interests in building, selling, and/or profiting from license-restrictive, “source available” products should not be involved in grant-making decisions involving free and open source projects that could be seen as “in competition” with said for-profit products.
I am not complaining and am not begging for change, just calling out the bullshit.
Myself and my collaborators just continue to build the better alternative; we are indeed being the change that we want to see.
