GM Aleks! With respect, I strongly prefer the Nolan chart. As a puzzle for the airport lounge, I came up with a procedure for transforming your diagram into the Nolan chart:
(1) rotate the whole thing 45 degrees CCW so the green quadrant is at the bottom
(2) slide the economic freedom axis to the lower right edge, with zero at the bottom
(3) relabel the other axis “personal freedom “ and slide to the lower left edge, zero at the bottom
(4) relabel the quadrants: authoritarian at the bottom, libertarian at the top, conservative to the right and progressive (for those in the US) to the left
(5) carve out a square in the middle for centrists.
I hope that’s not too convoluted or pointless, I’m just waiting for a plane 😉
