I'm once again finding that, increasingly, our insurance company has been better to us than the providers have been, even if the coverage is lacking in areas. When I say it's a time suck, I've spent nearly 3 hours today between going to an appointment that wasn't actually covered by insurance, despite the provider's claims, and then digging through EOBs and receipts that demonstrate they have a track record of overcharging us. Most don't have the time to dig into this and just get walked over.
