Something like https://preyproject.com/ ? Not too expensive.
But solutions like that rely on someone plugging it in to Ethernet.

Could stick an AirTag or similar to it? But that can be peeled off by a thief.

Take the bike option and make the laptop look old and beaten up?

UV marking?

Any other thoughts?
