Got some Mistletoe berries from a naturalist friend this week and going to try to "plant" some seeds tomorrow on a few trees; they bring in really beautiful butterflies & the berries are great bird food
But how do you plant a seed of a parasitic plant? Apparently, you scrape off a little bark and the sticky mucilage around the seeds holds it in place while it slowly grows there.
The theory of how this happens naturally is birds scraping the sticky mucilage off their beaks on a branch. Or poop
