Joanna Holman on Nostr: One area of confusion and frustration with older family members is phone etiquette ...
One area of confusion and frustration with older family members is phone etiquette and I'm curious about other peoples take on it. One of my family members often calls for extended conversations. While on those calls if someone else calls them they tell me they'll call me back, hang up on me , take the other call and call me back anywhere from minutes to hours later. Obviously fine occasionally or if they're expecting an important call but it happens often. Sometimes when they call back that call gets interrupted in the same way. I feel like if you called someone else when it suited you, unless there's really important things to left to say you should wrap up the call and not interrupt a person a second time if you decide that talking to other people is actually more important. What's the good manners on things like this?
