My experience with SNCF is that it's sometimes cheaper to do a ticket split when doing a longer travel. For long-distance TGV trains going around Paris it can be cheaper to do a ticket split in Marne-la-Vallee on rare ocassions (and change seats in the same train), although I never took that route myself until now.",
