The simplified trajectory for the undocking and return of uncrewed Starliner is that rather than flying around ISS, it will head more directly away from the space station before doing its deorbit burn. It gives less time for anything to go wrong, and was actually suggested by Boeing.

Also thanks to Nasa for running the conference beyond an hour, on previous ones they cut it off before the questions ran out.
