Should there be universal healthcare for pets? Is that too mushy and sentimental of an idea, that we'd (first obviously) take care of all of the people and then also take care of the animals we love?

(Pica is fine, but I need to take her to the vet and it will be expensive. And I hate how at some point one has to say "I can't afford that level of care for a cat" there is no guidance... you could spend nothing or up to 100ks of $ on a pet. It'd be nice to be rich enough not to care... )
