I'm still thinking about the speaker at yesterday's #CounterfeitRoundtable who seemed to suggest is was somehow unfair to make IP owners sue to enforce their rights.
But that's the whole point of IP.
The "right" you get from the statute is the right to sue. Not a right to be free of infringement. Not a right to cost-effectively stamp out every competing use you don't like.
