I think after AOC asked her followers why some of them voted for both her and trump and one answered back "because you both are real", she had a moment of awakening. She seems to now notice the difference between career politicans and normal citizens wants and desires, which seems to be one reason why it seems there is now disdain for her in the democratic party. Just like how there is now a desire for democrats to demonize bernie sanders after he told dems and neocons what they didnt want to hear.
