In the 40s my parents were at a dance in the next town about 30km away on winding mountain roads. The next day when they woke up they found the fence smashed and their car, still running with both doors open in the middle of the front lawn. This did change their behavior though, they only got blind drunk in their own town. Yeah still drove.... Apparently I am lucky to exist.
