I have a Vue2 that I flashed with esphome. It was a pain to solder the headers on the board. Also configuring it was really confusing (to me, user error). And it randomly stopped reporting two weeks ago after a year of running -- I just haven't had the motivation to open up my panel and reset the thing. I'm pretty sure the flash chip on it is done.
That's all to say, I wish you better luck than I've with the Vue2!
