I’m not religious but my understanding is that religion claims that God has a path and a plan for everyone. Some people are meant to go on drugs. Some will recover and be better for it. Some may overdose and die. This all part of God’s plan. Those overdoses serve as lessons and warnings to others. You can try to protect others but you can’t stop them from doing what they want to do. So let things be. Let go and let God. These are lessons that religious people learn but struggle to actually follow. Idk why.
