In the 2023 Dutch election, Geert Wilders' far-right PVV became the largest party in parliament. 😟
Its slogan: "Dutch people in first place again"
It wants to put the "real" Dutch before "allochtones" or non-European foreigners, who are described as a "tsunami of refugees" and "mass immigration" messing up "our beautiful Netherlands."
(Sounds familiar, Americans?)
A lot of the talk before the election was about the housing crisis.
