No one's ever called mine IBS bc I just medicate it when things even hint at getting dicey. Naproxen sodium (Aleve) OTC, and I have couple of prescriptions that slow things down, plus I don't eat to speak of. For the other, I take 2 or 3 Mg supplements and 2 or 3 docusate sodium capsules (much H2O). Two bedtime doses over 2 days if necessary. My fail safe solutions... so far.
Most folks swear by psyllium husk (Metamucil).
Beano and simethicone for gas.
