This is one of the things that fustrates me about the campaign to defederate meta and the like, I am not that interested in participating in some arbitrarily curated small corner of the internet moaning about how things are on fire.

I want that energy spent on figuring out how we get everyones racist uncle on this thing and radicalise them into making things less shit, whilst giving people the tools to read the news and chat with friends without being harassed
