I know nothing about my side characters until they pop up. And then, they are fully developed personalities, usually name and all.

I can't tell you how this works, but they are there and they work exactly as the story has to go. I can't tell you if my mind knows it needs them or if I have this idea of a character and that shapes the story.

To sum up: I am probably the most clueless writer on here.😂
